The first Shine Like Stars English Speech for Youths in the Greater Bay Area won gold and silver


    The first Shine Like Stars English Carnival for Youth in the Greater Bay Area, co-organized by the Macau Institute for the Development and Promotion of English for Special Purposes (CICE MACAU), was held at Sheraton Macau Hotel.

     With the theme of "Creativity as a global gamechanger", the competition was divided into junior, senior and junior groups, with over 70 students from more than 10 schools in Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macau and the Greater Bay Area competing online and offline. After the semi-finals, four secondary school students from HKP entered the final round and emerged as the final nine winners.

    The event provided a good platform for local students to showcase their English language skills and vitality, and to promote learning and exchange with the youth in the Bay Area. The event was supported by Cambridge English Language Examiner, National Geographic Learning, THRASS and other internationally renowned educational and publishing organizations.
