The 2018 Youth Volunteer Awards Ceremony, hosted by the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau (DSEJ), was held on the afternoon of March 23, 2019 (Saturday). The activity aims to recognize and affirm the commitment and contribution of young volunteers to the society, further promote the active participation of young volunteers in voluntary work, and encourage all sectors of society and young people to join the ranks of volunteers, carry forward the spirit of mutual support and help to inject positive energy into the Macao society. About 400 people attended the event.

Since the 2017 academic year, our school has joined the volunteer event organized by the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau. Since participating in the program, our school students have actively participated in volunteer services inside and outside the school. The school also organizes students to receive professional “volunteer training”, and then participate in the annual Youth Volunteer Award Program. So far, a total of ten students from our school have received at least 100 hours of bronze awards for volunteer service hours.

Director of DSEJ praised and affirmed the hard work and dedication of young volunteers in the past year. Both community service and post-disaster rehabilitation work showed the dedication and social commitment of young volunteers. It is hoped that the youth will continue to spread the spirit of volunteerism and build a caring and harmonious Macao. At the same time, we would like to thank the participating institutions and schools for providing training and volunteer services for young volunteers.
