Peking Opera Enters the Campus of HKP

On October 17, The Scheme for Promoting Chinese Culture in Campus, organised by The Chinese Educators Association, was successfully held at HKP, bringing a unique art feast to the teachers and students. First-class actors of the National Peking Opera Theatre, Bi Xiaoyang and Zhang Hao Yang, and General Manager Chen Qiang of Boyan Education Technology (Beijing) Limited attended the event.

The event aimed to enhance teachers' and students' understanding and appreciation of Peking Opera, to promote the integration of traditional arts and modern education, and to let teachers and students experience the unique charm of Chinese traditional culture.

At the beginning of the activity, the guest speaker briefly introduced the origin, development, artistic characteristics, role division and stage presentation of Peking Opera, which gave teachers and students a preliminary understanding of the art of Peking Opera. The actors and actresses demonstrated their superb performing skills to the teachers and students on stage with their melodious singing.

There was also an interactive session where students were invited to interact with the actors on stage to learn the basic movements and performance techniques of Peking Opera. Students actively participated in the event, and all teachers and students sang classic excerpts from the Peking Opera "The Legend of the Red Lantern", experiencing the profound heritage of the art of Peking Opera together.

The activity enriched the cultural life of the campus and provided teachers and students with a valuable opportunity to know and experience Peking Opera, and to further learn and feel the traditional Chinese culture. In the future, HKP will continue to organise more traditional arts activities on campus, so that students can broaden their horizons, cultivate their aesthetic sensibilities, and bring new life and vitality to the traditional arts on campus.
