“Experts Enter HKP”: Thinking and Skills for Youth in the New Era

On November 24, HKP invited Dr. Hoi Ngan Loi from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the Macao Polytechnic University to give a talk on "Thinking and Skills for Youth in the New Era" for Secondary 3-5 students.

At the beginning of the seminar, Dr Loi gave an in-depth analysis of China's economic development in the post-epidemic era, including the adjustment of the global supply chain, the GDP of national wealth, the imbalance of population mobility and urbanisation, and the productivity of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), etc.

The clearly themed seminar provides its audience an eye-opening and well-organised perspective on the issue with its rich content. During the interactive session, Dr Loi patiently answered various questions raised by the students, and the interaction was frequent and enthusiastic.

At the end of the seminar, Dr Loi pointed out that in order to stand firmly in the new generation, students need to look at the world with a broader vision, and to be concerned about family affairs, national affairs and world affairs. At the same time, he advised students to be adventurous, cherish diversity and plurality, abandon prejudice and disagreement, develop the ability to understand and solve problems, engage in interdisciplinary and problem-oriented collaborative learning, be good at integrating platforms from different parties, and make use of rules to break through the original rules.

The seminar was successfully concluded with a round of applause from all the teachers and students, and all the students expressed that they had learnt a lot.
