HKP Teachers and Students Study the Spirit of the "Two Sessions"
On March 25, Ms. Chen Hong, a Macao deputy to the National People's Congress (NPC) and Vice Principal of Hou Kong Middle School, delivered an enlightening sharing session for teachers and students of Hou Kong Premier School (HKP), focusing on the spirit of the 2025 "Two Sessions" (the NPC and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference).
Through vivid presentations and engaging explanations, Ms. Chen highlighted the key outcomes of this year's "Two Sessions," emphasizing major policy directions and their relevance to Macao's youth. The session served as a profound lesson in patriotism, inspiring all attendees.
Focusing on the Government Work Report, Ms. Chen systematically reviewed China's achievements over the past year in areas such as agricultural production and technological innovation. She outlined future plans for economic development, technological advancement, and talent cultivation, placing particular emphasis on food security, the strategy of invigorating the country through science and education, and the integrated development of "education, technology, and talent."
In her address, Ms. Chen stressed the necessity of fully and accurately implementing the principles of "One Country, Two Systems" and "the people of Macao governing Macao." She highlighted that Macao, as a successful example of "One Country, Two Systems," must steadfastly uphold the Constitution and the Basic Law, deepen international exchanges, and integrate into the nation's overall development. She encouraged students to cultivate a sense of gratitude and actively contribute to their community.
The session fostered enthusiastic participation, with teachers and students engaging in meaningful discussions. Demonstrating her care for Hou Kong students, Ms. Chen generously brought special commemorative "Two Sessions" first-day covers from Beijing as gifts. Award-winning students expressed that the session deepened their understanding of national development and inspired their personal growth.
Both teachers and students found the session to be informative and accessible, gaining a clearer and more systematic understanding of the "Two Sessions" spirit, China's developmental achievements, and future directions. Moving forward, they pledged to align their personal growth with the needs of the nation, strengthen their capabilities, and prepare themselves to contribute to China's ongoing development.
