Students Received Awards in the 2nd Macau MUN Conference


The 2nd Macau Model United Nations Conference was successfully held from August 19th to 21st, 2023. It is co-organized by the Macau Model United Nations Promotion Association, the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ), and the Macao Observatory for Social Development of USJ. The conference attracted nearly 200 secondary schools and university students from Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau to participate in. This year’s conference targets to discuss the topic of "Addressing Aging Population and Cultivating an Aging-friendly Society."

Six students from our school represented different countries in the conference and received different awards. Abbie Tang from S3A received the Honorable Mention (3rd place), while Anajunior Ho from S2A, Iris Sou from S3C, Henry Wong and Aurora Tai from S4A and Juvina Leong from S4D received the Merit Award. Under the invaluable guidance and support from Miss Niko Chu, Miss Kerry Chan, and Miss Emily Wong, students were able to actively participate in heated discussions on the topic, showcasing their unwavering commitment to international affairs. HKP has always placed great emphasis on the cultivation of our students' international perspectives. Through participation in Model United Nations conferences, students are able to develop sensitivity and awareness of international issues and gain insights into the interests of different countries and regions. This experience broadens their international outlook and enables them to become global citizens equipped with a global vision and leadership potential.
